So here it is folks, the long-awaited Issue Two of, ‘A Fanzine called White Lemonade’. It’s been the usual trek down the tiring but enjoyable road, constant nightly fights with ‘Scotch 3M spray mount’ – the damn stuff gets everywhere! If you’ve ever used it know what I’m talking about!
I’ve been inundated with mail since Issue One, so if you’ve written and haven’t received a reply yet, please bear with me, there’ll be something falling through your letterbox in the not too distant future.
Thanks for the tapes, reviews, interviews and the letters of support, they are all very much appreciated. Without them you wouldn’t be reading this!
If you’d like to send an article for publication, then please do. I can’t promise to publish everything but I’ll have a damn good try. Issue Three of A.F.C. White Lemonade should be out in September ’92, which is sooner than you think, believe me. We are looking at the end of August as a cut-off date for submissions; although, this is prone to change, as is often the case with fanzines.
If you bought Issue One you’ll have read that there’d be a free compilation tape with this issue. The response to my request for bands to donate tracks have been overwhelming, so I’ve decided to put the tape out separately – I’m hoping for some time in May.
I’ve also introduced the ‘Make Contact’ feature on the back page, it’s a good form of publicity and it’s free. I’m looking to extend it in Issue Three. I’ve included one this morning in fact, too late for the back page so I’ll include it here. The band are called Misery and are a mixture of everything from Mick Karn to Morrissey and you can contact them via Anthony,……..Cathays, Cardiff.
So there we have it ladies and gents. I’ve probably forgotten to include something, but that’s life I suppose.
